THE SUMMER SOCIAL DESCRIBED BELOW HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO AUGUST 11 BECAUSE OF EXTREME HEAT ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 4.
The Bedford Chamber of Commerce will host a summer social for members and prospective members on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Minuteman Diner, 363 The Great Road.
“It’s a networking event – a get-back-to-business kind of thing,” said Executive Director Peter Bagley. “I expect 50 to 60 folks.”
There will be a cash bar, and Minuteman Diner is providing the food – and the shelter, if weather precludes an outdoor event, Bagley said. “The entire board will be there,” and new members can join the Chamber at the event.
“We will be announcing a bunch of activities – we have a pretty good schedule for the fall,” the director added.
This is the first event by a committee led by Bopha Malone, Select Board member, and including Caitlin Campopiano, director of workforce programs and professional education at Middlesex Community College; Maria Porto of Hanscom Federal Credit Union; and Sheena Santos of Barrett Sotheby’s Realty. “They thought it would be great to get outside,” said Bagley.
