The Bedford Health Department in conjunction with our volunteer nursing team is offering free flu vaccinations and free COVID-19 booster vaccinations on Bedford Day, Saturday, September 17 from 9 am – 12 pm, by appointment. Look for the big white tent behind the yellow Town Center Building!

Flu Vaccinations: Free flu shots will be offered to Bedford residents 8 years of age and older on Bedford Day. Pre-registration is required. Please bring your ID, insurance cards, and completed flu form(s).

COVID-19 Vaccinations: Free COVID-19 booster doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech, Bivalent vaccine will be offered to Bedford residents who are eligible to receive this vaccine. Individuals 12 years of age and older are eligible for a single booster dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, Bivalent, if it has been two months since they completed primary vaccination or have received the most recent booster dose with any authorized or approved monovalent COVID-19 vaccine. Pre-registration is required. For additional information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, please visit: https://www.mass.gov/covid-19-vaccine

Emerson Hospital Health Screening: Emerson Hospital will be offering free BMI screenings and an informational table. Unfortunately, this year Emerson Hospital will not be offering blood draws.

While visiting the vaccination site, under the big white tent located behind the Town Center Building (Yellow Building) participants will be required to wear a face covering. Please bring a copy of your ID, insurance cards, face covering, vaccination cards, and paperwork with you.

We ask that anyone receiving a vaccination wear clothing that allows for easy access to their arm for vaccine administration. As a reminder, a legally authorized representative (parent or guardian) must be present to give permission or consent for vaccination of 17 years of age and younger.

If you have any questions about the clinics, the Flu Vaccine, or the COVID-19 vaccine, please contact the Health Department at 781-275-6507 or visit the Health Department website at: https://www.bedfordma.gov/health-department

Note: Future Flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinics are being planned and will be announced once scheduled. All clinics require pre-registration.

Corrections on 9/10/22: These Bedford Day activities are sponsored by the Bedford Health Department, not the Bedford Board of Health as the headline originally posted.
