As part of its Bedford Day booth activities on Sept 17, the Bedford Garden Club will raffle off seven prizes to raise funds for its scholarship and civic activities.

The raffle prizes will include: golf for 4 players and the use of a golf cart, a fairy garden valued at $40, and gift cards from Stop & Shop ($60), Red Heat Restaurant ($50), Virsa De Punjab Restaurant ($50), New England Nurseries ($25), and Ken’s New York Deli ($25).

Raffle tickets will be available at the Garden Club booth; winners do not have to be present when the winning tickets are selected at the end of the fair.

The Club also will be hosting a Yard Sale on Bedford Day, to be held at a home adjacent to the fair: Co-President Gayle Lewis’s house at 12 School Ave., behind the fire station.  For sale will be gardening items, children’s toys and games, housewares, and other treasures.

Also for sale at the Garden Club booth will be a few select perennials and small Mason jar floral arrangements made from flowers grown by Club members, several colors of fall mums, boxes of floral stationery, and humorous garden signs.

While the Bedford Day fair runs from 10 AM – 2 PM, the Garden Club’s Yard Sale will operate from 9 AM to 3 PM.
