Got Talent? The Bedford Citizen is Hiring for the Position of Operations Manager

The Bedford Citizen is seeking to fill a part-time position (20-25 hours per week) for Operations Manager. If you are self-motivated and organized, have excellent oral and written communications skills, are computer fluent with some experience with database software…read on! A link to a detailed job description including instructions on how to apply is here.

The Bedford Citizen has been publishing regularly for more than 10 years and is the go-to resource for reliable information on local decision-making, elections, Town Meeting preparation, and a broad array of community events and activities. Bringing all this to our readers requires the support of a smooth-running organization that includes four paid staff members, stringers, a Board of Directors, and a small army of loyal donors and volunteers.

The Operations Manager will report to the Executive Director and focus on the design and execution of processes and the completion of tasks that keep The Citizen organized, nimble, and responsive to its many constituents. Almost all of this can be achieved from the comfort of your own home office through the magic of Zoom, email, and texting!

Hours are flexible. Bedford residency is not a requirement, but responsibilities do include regular pick-up of mail from the Bedford Post Office. (Occasionally, in-person meetings take place.) You must have regular access to a computer/laptop.

Take a peek at the detailed job description, and send your resume and cover letter to [email protected] if you are interested. An interview is required; this can be accomplished on Zoom.

We’d love to meet you…we are an active and creative team, fun to work with, and dedicated to the mission of The Bedford Citizen to inform and engage our community. Let’s talk!
