The Bedford Free Public Library will host an exhibit of the work of 25 members of the Bedford Center for the Arts Photo Group. The exhibit, juried by photography educator and curator Erin Carey and entitled What Catches the Eye, showcases the range of photographic styles represented in the Group. The show will open on Friday, November 12 and close on Wednesday, January 12. Plan to stop by the Library to check out the exhibit. An exciting new public art exhibition has been installed in the Minute Man National Historical Park this month, in collaboration with The Umbrella Arts Center. Curated by Monkeyhouse, Go Out Doors – Minute Man National Historical Park brings unique, Park-inspired artistic perspectives to The Umbrella's "Go Out Doors – Neighbors" regional exhibition of artfully upcycled, painted doors, installed in towns throughout Battle Road, Metrowest and beyond. In this one-day workshop, we will use a mixture of acrylic medium and acrylic paint to create a dripped resist pattern. After this basic resist dries, we will develop the artwork using watercolor supplies. We will also delve into different kinds of washes and glazes. This works for representational, interpretive or abstract watercolorists. Masks will be required. Adults ages 18+. Class with artist Nan Rumpf.
