Connecting Threads, an exhibition with works by textile artist Joetta Maue and photographer Becky Behar will be on display at the Bedford Free Public Library from March 14 to May 11, 2022. The exhibition explores connections we make throughout our lives, the threads we spin and bonds we create, starting in the nuclei of our families. Joetta Maue’s embroidered fabrics and Becky Behar’s photographs use the element of stitching to construct a visual story of their lives. Their work acts as a document of lives lived and relationships felt. A reception for the artists will be on Sunday, April 10,

Minuteman Senior Services Spring Forward Fun Run & Walk

Join Minuteman Senior Services in May for the Spring Forward Fun Run & Walk!  You will have the option of running or walking a 5K (3.1 miles) or 10K (6.2 miles) along the route of your choice anytime from May 1 – 8, 2022.  Other than the registration fee, there is no fundraising required, however you do have the option to  increase your support by setting up an individual or team fundraising page or joining a team. Touch-a-Truck Event to Benefit Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation

Bedford Trails Committee trail walk – Wilderness Park

Please join the Bedford Trails Committee for a free trail walk in the woods! We plan to explore the Old Reservoir / Valente Land area. Pace will be leisurely. Known as "The Old Rez," the Old Reservoir land is one of the Town’s most interesting and popular municipal open space areas. One of the significant features of the terrain is its changing grade. Steep inclines and declines provide for more strenuous hiking and biking than typically found on other trails within the Bedford trail network.

The Energy and Sustainability Committee is sponsoring a Cars and Coffee event on May 7 from 11am-1pm at Depot Park. Green Energy Consumers Alliance will have electric vehicle experts to answer your question and there will be electric cars there for you to explore while enjoying coffee and pastries. This event is free and open to the public.

Bedford High School Playwright’s Festival

Bedford High School 9 Mudge Way, Bedford

The Bedford High School (MA) Theater Department presents the fourth annual Playwright’s Festival on Saturday, May 7th, 2022! The nine plays in this festival are written, directed, and designed by BHS students. The playwrights are Ben Couvée, Charlie Desjardins, Dylan DeJesus, Kai Etringer, Cate Galante, Connor McClung, John Mitchell, Ethan Washington, and Emily Zhu. There are about twenty-five students involved as actors, directors, designers, or writers. The performance will culminate in an optional talk-back with the writers and the directors of the plays. Audience members will have the chance to ask the writers and directors specific questions about the process

First Parish Lexington 7 Harrington Road, Lexington

Join us as The Master Singers of Lexington performs a delightful and entertaining program of songs and choruses about school, professors, teacher’s pets and more. Composers include Leonard Bernstein, Clark Gesner, Frank Loesser, Victor Herbert, Tom Lehrer, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Graham Nash, to name a few. Members of the chorus will show off their talent in solo performances. The performance will last 60 - 90 minutes and there will be a 10 minute "recess" midway during the concert. This venue is fully accessible from the rear parking area. Please bring proof of vaccination and wear a mask.
