Indigenous People’s Celebration

On Oct. 8, 2022, the Greater Lowell Indian Cultural Association (GLICA) will be at the Billerica Public Library, 10:00am-2:00 pm.  They will be downstairs in the Children's Room with artifacts and ready to answer questions.  Upstairs in the Library in the Conference Room there will be a study area on Native American History with folks there to assist with questions.  At 3:00 pm GLICA moves to the First Parish Church in Billerica Center for drumming and dancing.  A film on the USA Indian Schools will be shown at St. Anne's Episcopal Church in North Billerica at 6:00 PM. Muse Stew – An Evening of Brazilian Music

Muse Stew will be presenting an evening of Brazilian music featuring special guest vocalist Evelyn Rosenthal. We'll be performing tunes by Ivan Lins, A. C. Jobim, Sergio Mendes, Baden Powell, Mauricio Einhorn/Durval Ferraire, Toquino & Venicius, and Wayne Shorter. The show is dedicated to the memory of David Rumpler with whom we shared our passion for Brazilian music and jazz in general. Muse Stew is led by Arlington resident, Scott Samenfeld.
