MLK Community Service Project – Donation Drive
As part of our Martin Luther King Jr. Day observance, Bedford Embraces Diversity, the Parents Diversity Council and the Rotary Club will be holding a donation drive to support the Bedford Food Bank, which provides for about 120 households a week and is always in need of items that aren’t available through Greater Boston Food Bank or other donors. Items on this list include: antiperspirant shampoo toilet paper paper towels laundry detergent tabs socks for men and women Clorox wipes diapers pullups incontinence underwear for men and women Youth and Family Services also accepts gift cards to distribute to residents

ArtSpace Maynard @ The Umbrella Visiting Exhibition
The Umbrella Art Gallery is delighted to host a new exhibition of works by artists from ArtSpace Maynard, which has been temporarily closed for exhibitions. Work representing a variety of styles and media will be on display in their first group exhibition since the pandemic, with most work available for purchase through The Umbrella’s Art Cloud online art market gallery. A nationally-known artist and a panel of METCO parents will highlight the sixth Martin Luther King Jr. Day observance, sponsored by Bedford Embraces Diversity. Town of Bedford Food Bank Service
The Town of Bedford operates a drive thru Food Bank service every Thursday, 4:00PM to 5:30PM at 12 Mudge Way, the Yellow Building (rear parking lot). In addition to pantry staples, we provide produce, meat, dairy products as well as feminine care, diapers, household items and pet food. The Bedford Food Bank service is intended for Bedford residents of all ages for whom provision of food and other supplies will support the health and well-being of the household.
