Grounded | Exhibition at Bedford Free Public Library

Bedford Free Public Library 7 Mudge Way, Bedford, MA

Grounded, an exhibition with works by encaustic/wax artists Carol Krauss, Tracy Spadafora, and Sarah Springer will be on display at the Bedford Free Public Library until July 13, 2022. The event is free and open to the public. The public is invited to view the exhibit during regular library hours.

Sustainable Solutions: Documentary Photographers Explore the Climate Crisis

The Umbrella Arts & Environment and The Umbrella  Visual Arts programs, in partnership with the Concord, MA-based Social Documentary Network/ZEKE Magazine, present an exciting new exhibition of world-class documentary photography emphasizing long-term sustainable solutions to the climate crisis including the Indigenous People’s Burn Network in the western United States; Nemo’s Garden in Italy — the world’s first underwater greenhouse; the African Women Rising’s Permagarden Program in Uganda, and others. The exhibition is inspired by the Spring 2022 issue featuring projects by Kiliii Yuyan, Giacomo d'Orlando, Sarah Fretwell, and veteran climate journalist Antonia Juhasz. Town of Bedford Food Bank Service

The Town of Bedford operates a drive thru Food Bank service every Thursday, 4:00PM to 5:30PM at 12 Mudge Way, the Yellow Building (rear parking lot).  In addition to pantry staples, we provide produce, meat, dairy products as well as feminine care, diapers, household items and pet food. The Bedford Food Bank service is intended for Bedford residents of all ages for whom provision of food and other supplies will support the health and well-being of the household. Carlisle Farmers Market opens June 25! The Carlisle Farmers Market opens for the season on June 25. The market will be at the Kimball’s Ice Cream Stand parking lot, 343 Bedford Road (Route 225), Carlisle, from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday until October 8. The market features locally-grown fresh vegetables and fruits in season, as well as local eggs and honey. There are also delicious baked goods and coffee, dog treats, and hand-crafted items such as soaps, teas, jewelry, baskets and more. New vendors are always welcome.
