Muse Stew will be presenting an evening of Brazilian music featuring special guest vocalist Evelyn Rosenthal. We'll be performing tunes by Ivan Lins, A. C. Jobim, Sergio Mendes, Baden Powell, Mauricio Einhorn/Durval Ferraire, Toquino & Venicius, and Wayne Shorter. The show is dedicated to the memory of David Rumpler with whom we shared our passion for Brazilian music and jazz in general. Muse Stew is led by Arlington resident, Scott Samenfeld. Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Nosferatu W. Murnau’s German Expressionist horror film from 1922 will be presented with music by the Dylan Jack Quartet, led by MCC music alumnus Dylan Jack, drummer. The ensemble, which also includes Eric Hofbauer, guitar; Jerry Sabatini, trumpet, and Tony Leva, bass and electronics, will play a soundtrack, both composed and improvised, full of emotional themes and spontaneous development that will enhance the creepiness of the film. The Bedford Council on Aging will celebrate harvest time, Halloween, and the diverse cultural heritage of the New England Region by presenting a performance by Parents’ Choice Award winning performer Davis Bates. Entitled Halloween Harvest, the program includes harvest stories and songs from the past and present, songs of the supernatural, Native American stories, ghost stories and family tales.
