Connecting Threads, an exhibition with works by textile artist Joetta Maue and photographer Becky Behar will be on display at the Bedford Free Public Library from March 14 to May 11, 2022. The exhibition explores connections we make throughout our lives, the threads we spin and bonds we create, starting in the nuclei of our families. Joetta Maue’s embroidered fabrics and Becky Behar’s photographs use the element of stitching to construct a visual story of their lives. St. Paul's Episcopal Church will host a virtual Noonday Prayer Service on Earth Day to "Pray for the Planet" on Friday, April 22nd, at 12 noon. Together with people of all faiths and from across the nation, we will pray for action on climate change. Join us as we combine rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and flavorings, including 21 vitamins and minerals, into 10,000 meals. This is a fun, high-energy event for people of all ages and abilities. On Saturday, April 23 from 1 to 4 pm, the Bedford Arts and Crafts Society will present an in-person stained glass workshop with Barbara Purchia and members of the Glass Cooperative.
