Shawsheen Valley Technical High School welcomes the public to Shawsheen for “A Day of Beauty” on three Tuesdays in May. The visit will start with pampering at the school salon with service from cosmetology students, and then patrons will rendezvous to the Ram’s Head Dining room for a meal and coffee or tea from students in Culinary Arts/Hospitality Management program. The dates for “A Day of Beauty” are Tuesday May 10th, 17th or 24th. On Tuesday, May 10 at 7 PM the Bedford Center for the Arts Photo Group will welcome back as presenter, BCA member Dennis Rainville to continue his discussion of the Art of Black and White Photography.  Dennis is a fine art photographer who enjoys dealing in multiple genres of photography.  His work ranges through landscape, still life, long exposure, architectural, focus stacked, time lapse, black and white, and painted photographs.  The pictures that he takes are elements that he uses to create a Fine Art Photograph through the use of the digital darkroom.  This approach allows Dennis to create works

The Town of Bedford operates a drive thru Food Bank service every Thursday, 4:00PM to 5:30PM at 12 Mudge Way, the Yellow Building (rear parking lot).  In addition to pantry staples, we provide produce, meat, dairy products as well as feminine care, diapers, household items and pet food. The Bedford Food Bank service is intended for Bedford residents of all ages for whom provision of food and other supplies will support the health and well-being of the household. The Bedford High School Performing Arts Department will present its annual Spring Vocal Concert on Thursday, May 12, at 7:00pm in the BHS Auditorium. The Concert Choir, Honors Choir, and student a cappella groups will perform. POMS will be on hand to recognize our graduating seniors, with the presentation of POMS scholarships and a reception with cake in the lobby after the concert. Admission is free, and all are welcome.

Join us for a summer of music by The Beatles! Rock Voices is a non-audition choir (18+) and is open to all. The Bedford Rock Voices choir rehearses on Thursday nights, 7-9pm at the American Legion (357 Great Road, Bedford, MA) and the first rehearsal is Thursday, May 12. You don't have to be a "singer" to join this choir. You just have to love rock and pop music. This summer we're paying tribute to The Beatles. Our fall season will feature completely different music.
