Congratulations to the cast and crew of JGMS’s production of GUYS AND DOLLS, JR., who took home two MET Musical Awards, for Best Choral Ensemble and Best Sound Design & Execution. The MET Musical Awards ceremony was held Monday, June 10, at the Berklee Performing Arts Center in Boston.

Local Photographers Discuss Copyright in the Age of Social Media and Photo Sharing

By Jordan Stewart

What began as a group of roughly a dozen Bedford residents passionate about photography has grown, and now draws around 80 members. The photo group is a part of the Bedford Center for the Arts and is a supportive, close-knit community which meets twice a month. They meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month (except July and August, when the group breaks for the summer), and host events such as photo sharing days and discussions surrounding the more technical aspects of photography.

Paul Revere, the Myth and the Man ~ Historical Society Program Follows Potluck and Annual Meeting on May 19

Submitted by the Bedford Historical Society

How did Boston silversmith and bell-maker Paul Revere end up riding to alert the countryside in April, 1775 that “the British are coming?”

It makes sense that he rode to give this alert, since he was an express rider for the Boston Committee of Correspondence and the MA Committee of Safety in 1774 and 1775, and carried news, messages, and copies of important documents from Boston as far away as New York and Philadelphia. These facts and others will be presented by the Bedford Historical Society’s guest speaker, Frank Rigg, following the Society’s Potluck Supper and Annual Meeting on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Upper Fellowship Hall of the First Church of Christ, Congregational, 25 The Great Rd., Bedford.
