May 14 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Bedford Center for the Arts Photo Group Speaker Series continues with photographer and curator Karin Rosenthal, speaking on “Journeying Within the Human Landscape.”

Since Karin Rosenthal received the Stevens Traveling Fellowship from Wellesley College in 1978, her abstract photographs of nudes in nature have been exhibited internationally, collected widely, and reside in 16 museum collections, including Boston’s MFA and the Yale University Art Gallery. Rosenthal is a Resident Artist/Scholar at Brandeis University’s Women’s Studies Research Center where she curated an exhibition of photographs by Vivian Maier in 2013. In 2016, she curated “37 Photographers/ One Model” with nudes by her and her workshop students of a male dancer in his fifties (http://krosenthal.com/photography.html).

Doors open at 6:45 (Elm Street entrance). The meeting is free and open to the public. This program is supported in part through a grant from the Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
