“British Bounty IV” Concert by Kammerwerke Double Wind Quintet
February 9 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm$10 – $20
Kammerwerke Double Wind Quintet, based in Bedford, will present a program of music by British composers entitled “British Bounty IV” at First Parish in Bedford Unitarian Universalist, 75 The Great Road, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, 9 February 2019.
On this the fourth all British program, Kammerwerke will explore more of the wonderful works by composers from across the pond. Composers from the British isles have contributed a sizeable repertoire for double wind quintet, an ensemble that is not as well known in the Americas as in Europe.
On the program will be “Three British Folksongs” by Ian Harrald, “Partita for Ten Wind Instruments” by Stephen Dodgson, Peter Lawrance’s “Cavortations,” “Country Song” by Gustav Holst, Ruth Gipps’s haunting “Seascape,” and Gordon Carr’s “Sinfonietta ‘In memory of Ruth Gipps’ for Wind Dectet”.
Tickets available at the door. Adults $20; Students $10; 13 and under Free.
