To conclude Earth Day activities, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church are co-hosting a film screening and discussion of the documentary Youth v Gov which follows the ground-breaking lawsuit brought by 21 young people, Juliana vs United States. The lawsuit accuses the federal government of violating their constitutional rights by first ignoring the dangers of climate change and then failing to take strong action to mitigate it. This in-person event will be held at St. Paul’s Church, 100 Pinehill Road, Bedford, from 6-8:30pm.
The film is directed toward high schoolers and above, but all ages are welcome. Here is a link to the trailer from Barrelmaker Productions. Thanks to the producers and Interfaith Power & Light, this screening is free and open to all. Light refreshments will be served, so we ask people to express their interest in attending by sending an email to: [email protected].
