Film Forum – Youth v Gov Documentary

St. Paul's Episcopal Church 100 Pine Hill Road, Bedford MA

To conclude Earth Day activities, St. Paul's Episcopal Church and First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church are co-hosting a film screening and discussion of the documentary Youth v Gov which follows the ground-breaking lawsuit brought by 21 young people, Juliana vs United States.  The lawsuit accuses the federal government of violating their constitutional rights by first ignoring the dangers of climate change and then failing to take strong action to mitigate it.  This in-person event will be held at St. Paul's Church, 100 Pinehill Road, Bedford, from 6-8:30pm. The film is directed toward high schoolers and above, but all ages are welcome.

The Thrift Sale will feature new or gently used clothing, kitchenware, books/DVDs/CDs/puzzles, games & toys, and sporting goods. Donations of the above will be collected in the parish hall during the drop-off period from June 12th – 17th (full drop-off schedule below). St. Paul’s Lessons & Carols service

St. Paul's Episcopal Church 100 Pine Hill Road, Bedford, MA

On Sunday, December 10, at 5:30 p.m., St. Paul's Episcopal Church will host its 9th annual service of Advent Lessons and Carols. The service will feature the Parish Choir, Youth Choir, and soloists, augmented by strings and bagpipes, and will be led by Dr. Michael Monroe, St. Paul’s minister of music. The service also features familiar hymns for congregational singing, as well as readings from the Bible and other spiritual works, both historical and contemporary. Rev. Christopher Wendell, rector of St. Paul’s, will preside over the 75-minute service. A reception will follow in the parish hall.

Fawn Lake Easter Dawn Service

Fawn Lake At the end of Sweetwater Avenue, Bedford

The 73rd annual Easter Dawn Service at Fawn Lake will be held on Sunday, March 31, at 6:30am on the shores of Fawn Lake, at the end of Sweetwater Avenue in Bedford. Lay representatives from many of Bedford’s churches—including this year’s coordinating parish, St. Paul’s Episcopal, and the service’s originator, First Church of Christ (UCC)—are organizing and will lead the service early on Easter morning. Music will be provided by longtime Bedford residents Bob McClatchey on accordion and Roy Kring on trumpet. All are welcome to the service.
