Concord Chorus performs Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass”

Church of St Brigid 1981 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington

Nine Bedford residents sing with the Concord Chorus - Anne Bickford, Barbara Carvey, Philip Carvey, Birgit de Weerd, Juanita Healy, Alfred Healy, Ken Hekman, Allen Marshall, Liz Megerle. Join them and the entire Concord Chorus, now in its 72nd season, for Joseph Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass.” Known also as the “Missa in angustiis,” Haydn composed this dramatic masterpiece “in troubled times” as a powerful response to a turbulent world. The program will also include Haydn’s beautiful and rarely performed “Ave Regina coelorum” for soprano, chorus, and strings and sublime motets by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Johannes Brahms.
