Island of Peoples The Lowell Chamber Orchestra will perform this dramatic multimedia oratorio, composed in 2019 by Gabriele Vanoni. Island of Peoples is based on stories of immigrants coming to the United States, and it draws inspiration and material from the stories of the Ellis Island Oral Histories. These interviews include stories of struggle, pain, and sadness, but also of joy, love, friendship, and faith. Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Nosferatu – MCC A World Of Music Concert Series

Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Nosferatu W. Murnau’s German Expressionist horror film from 1922 will be presented with music by the Dylan Jack Quartet, led by MCC music alumnus Dylan Jack, drummer. The ensemble, which also includes Eric Hofbauer, guitar; Jerry Sabatini, trumpet, and Tony Leva, bass and electronics, will play a soundtrack, both composed and improvised, full of emotional themes and spontaneous development that will enhance the creepiness of the film. Middlesex Community College A World Of Music Concert Series will continue with live concerts this fall. The series will open with the Lowell Chamber Orchestra, conducted by MCC faculty member Orlando Cela, on Saturday, September 24 at 7:30 pm in the Donahue Family Academic Arts Center, Theatre in Lowell. MCC’s Theatre Department to Present “The Rocky Horror Show”

The Middlesex Community College Theatre Department will present “The Rocky Horror Show” in five performances at MCC’s Richard and Nancy Donahue Family Academic Arts Center. Curtain times are 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, Friday, April 29 and Saturday April, 30; and 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 1.
