MCC Visiting Writers Series Hosts Alumni Writers

Bedford Area Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration

Join us for a multi-town celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day! This free, all ages, family event will feature a fun and educational performance by the Mashpee Wampanoag Red Hawk Singers and Dancers. Through song, dance, and teachings, the Red Hawk Singers and Dancers promote traditional Wampanoag values such as humility and respect to create true connections between diverse cultures and communities. MCC World of Music The Guitar Music of South African Composer David Hewitt

MCC faculty member Raley Beggs, guitarist, will give a lecture recital featuring the music of David Hewitt, whose compositions blend his European roots with influences from the Zulu Maskanda style of music from South Africa. MCC “World of Music” with Noted Peruvian Cellist: Free Concert

Middlesex Community College will close out the Spring 2023 “A World of Music” concert series with a performance by noted Peruvian cellist Jesús Castro-Balbi at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 12 at MCC’s Concert Hall in Bedford. All of MCC’s “A World of Music” concerts are free and open to the public. MCC’s Concert Hall is located in Henderson Hall at 591 Springs Road in Bedford. Parking is available on-campus.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Day, sponsored by Bedford Embraces Diversity, is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 16 at 9:30 a.m. in the student center of the Middlesex Community College campus, 591 Springs Rd.
